After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. The drive offers picturesque views of the Trishuli River, terraced fields, and the beautiful countryside. After an early breakfast, you will drive from Pokhara to Ghandruk, a charming Gurung village, by sharing a jeep or local vehicle. From Ghandruk, you will begin your trek to Chuile, a peaceful spot at 2,200 meters. The trek today offers beautiful views of Machapuchare (Fishtail) and Annapurna South. Overnight stay in Chuile.
The trek today takes you from Chuile to Dobato at an altitude of 3,350 meters. You will pass through dense forests, with occasional views of the Annapurna range. The trail is peaceful, with fewer trekkers, providing a serene experience. Overnight stay in Dobato.
Today, you will trek from Dobato to Chistibung, which is located at 3,000 meters. The trek passes through forests, offering the opportunity to observe various species of birds, and provides wonderful views of Annapurna South. Chistibung is a small settlement where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in Chistibung.
The trek from Chistibung to Khopra Danda takes you to an altitude of 4,020 meters, and it’s a steady ascent. Along the way, you’ll pass through alpine meadows and high-altitude landscapes, with stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna Massif. Khopra Danda offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machapuchare. Overnight stay in Khopra Danda.
Today is dedicated to a day trip to Khayar Lake at 4,620 meters. The trek to Khayar Lake is challenging but highly rewarding. The lake, surrounded by mountain peaks, is considered sacred by locals and offers a serene environment. After spending some time enjoying the lake’s beauty, you’ll return to Khopra Danda for the night. Overnight stay in Khopra Danda.
After a rewarding stay at Khopra Danda, you’ll descend towards Swata at an altitude of 2,270 meters. The trail takes you through lush forests, terraced fields, and small traditional villages. The change in altitude provides a different perspective of the surrounding landscape. Overnight stay in Swata.
The trek from Swata to Ghorepani is a moderate ascent that will bring you to 2,855 meters. Ghorepani is a popular stop on the Annapurna Circuit, famous for its Poon Hill viewpoint, which offers one of the best sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight stay in Ghorepani.
On this day, you will descend from Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga, which is located at 1,570 meters. The descent through rhododendron forests and traditional villages offers a relaxing end to your trek, with the chance to enjoy the lower-altitude landscape. Overnight stay in Tikhedhunga.
After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Pokhara from Tikhedhunga, and from there, take a tourist bus or a flight back to Kathmandu. This journey will take you through the countryside once again, with scenic views along the way. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can relax, explore more of the city, or shop for souvenirs. On the final day of your journey, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure flight back home or to your next destination. If time permits, you can do some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu before your flight.
The best time for this trek is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These seasons offer clear skies, moderate temperatures, and stunning views of the mountains, which are perfect for trekking.
The highest point of the trek is Khayar Lake, which is at an altitude of 4,620 meters (15,157 feet). Khopra Danda sits at 4,020 meters (13,189 feet), making it a high-altitude trek requiring proper acclimatization.
This trek is suitable for trekkers with moderate fitness levels and some previous trekking experience. While it’s not as demanding as some higher-altitude treks, the altitude and steep climbs require good physical preparation and stamina.

Acclimatize properly: Take time to adjust to higher altitudes, especially at Chistibung and Khopra Danda.
Stay hydrated and eat high-energy foods.
Ascend slowly and take it easy during the trek.
If you experience symptoms of altitude sickness (headaches, dizziness), descend immediately and seek help.
