Langtang Valley with Ganja la Pass. We start the trip with the drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. Driving time is about 6/7 hours in the snaky road. Langtang Ganja Pass trek begins from Syabrubesi, via the Kyanjin Gompa crosses the mighty Ganja La pass (5,122m), and ends at the Melamchi Pul Bazar in the Helambu region. Toward the end of the trip, you will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and several splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang before heading back to Kathmandu by drive.
Langtang is a narrow valley sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north, bordering Tibet, and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. A visit to the Langtang Valley offers an opportunity to explore village , bag small peaks and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation . through it’s close to Kathmandu , the region sees far fewer trekkers (about 4500 annually) than Everest and Annapurna.
Mighty Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and the trekking peak of Naya Kangri (5846m)lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966m) protects the east end of the valley . the area was designated Nepal’s first Himalayan national park in 1971, although the peak was not officially established until 1976.

You may also take advantage of the pleasant, dry weather at this time to enjoy your hikes in the Langtang region. The trails are in excellent shape as well. They are no longer slick and dirty. This time of year, the mountain peaks may be seen with astonishing clarity under the brilliant blue skies from Ganja La Pass.
Spring (March, April, and May)
Spring is another optimal season for Langtang Valley Ganja La Pass Trek in Nepal. You can enjoy the blooms of the local flora in the Langtang National Park in the spring season. You get views of entire sections of forest covered in pink, red, and yellow blooms of rhododendrons. You can enjoy your walk along the park with the scents of pine and maple. The wildlife of the region also comes alive after the winter slumber. If lucky, you can spot the endangered red panda on the trek. The weather conditions in spring are also quite stable. The trail descends into the Helambu region, entering green forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Tarkeghyang is a beautiful cultural village with monasteries and stone houses.
A relatively easy day walking through forests, farmland, and villages to Sermathang, known for its warm hospitality and scenic views.
A long descent through terraced fields and rural settlements brings you to Melamchi Pul Bazar, marking the end of the trekking trail.
